Its a skilled job working on an oil rig, also there would be many different kinds of jobs on there. Ranging from very physical jobs to jobs that need degrees in chemical engineering etc.

Look up DRILLING CONTRACTORS in the Houston, TX, yellow pages for a list of companies. Typical schedual is 2, 3 or 4 weeks away with an equal amount of time off. (Not "months" like those other answers.)

you need an RGIT survival ticket before the oil company’s will look at your CV, RGIT ( Robert Gordon Institute of Technology), and it is based in Aberdeen, BUT other collages may do a similar course, but they May not be acceptable to the oil company’s, contact RGIT
