You know, it’s hilarious to watch you guys spin this stuff. Please, allow me to explain. There was no end of outrage after the spill began at how Obama had forced people to drill in the deep ocean. There was no end of outrage at the fact that U.S. companies weren’t allowed to drill there (still aren’t, thanks to a bill passed under Bush), mainly because foreign companies tend to have a really bad track record when it comes to safety on rigs. And now, now that they’re leaving, you’re outraged again? So what outrage should I believe, exactly?
Two reasons why this doesn’t matter. First, they’ll come back. Why wouldn’t they? Cheap oil leases that U.S. companies can’t access means that they get to have control over a large chunk of the oil supply. That’s great for them, they wont just leave and give it up. Second, let’s say they do all leave. What, do you think Obama will just say "moratorium’s permanent"? That’s ridiculous. Instead, he’ll lift the ban on U.S. companies drilling out there. Before you know it, they’ll have their rigs in the Gulf. And U.S. companies have a far better track record of complying with safety measures than BP did. So why exactly is this bad? You pick the first reason, and everything goes back exactly the way it was. You pick the second reason, and everything gets changed for the better. How is this getting worse exactly?

This whole oil spill is an orchestrated and manufactured crisis. Who said "Never let a crisis go to waste?"
Now we see THREE outcomes from it:
1. Justification for his polical agenda.
2. Retaliatoin against the red Gulf states for voting against him in the election.
3. More destruction of capitalism.

So an absolutely devastating oil spill, which was a deep water drill, is wreaking havoc on the gulf coast. Seems understandable not to want to do deep water drilling, or to at least be uneasy towards it and maybe start taking action to stop such practices. So companies that still want to partake in such practices will go elsewhere to do it since it may not be so likely or lucrative in the US/gulf to do that anymore. And somehow I am to blame Obama? Which policies are you referring to? We’ve had American jobs going overseas for a long time, well before Obama came to office. These oil companies are in it for the money and they will go where the money can be made and because of such a crisis as the oil spill, they are unable to make said money here, so of course they would try elsewhere. I prefer to place the blame at the source, the oil companies themselves.
