Sοmе technical schools Ɩіkе NAIT аחԁ SAIT аrе offering courses аѕ well οח rig operations.

Welding is another great trade for oil rig work and is one of the highest paid because there are so few welders.

Um…well really you don’t have to have a degree, just be in decent shape. What you do need though is connections. I used to know a kid who worked w/his dad on the rigs in Wyoming. Nothing major. And in Butte you can work in the mine, if they hire you w/no degree or anything special. What I would recommend though is to get your CDL A & B license. It will help. But If you really want a degree, I would guess Petroleum engineering, metalergy, or Natural Resource science.
