Most medical personell on oil rigs are paramedics or of similar training. They are there to do the job until the medivac helicopter arrives.

  3. Thank you for the kind words. This is new territory for me, and I hate going into things without total knowledge of what I’m doing. I was told the same as far as trying a few different meds before finding the right one. It’s more difficult since my mother was never diagnosed and therefore never received meds for it. I was told if she was, it would be easier as whatever worked for her would most likely work for me too. I am currently keeping a journal for when things get to me, what triggers them, my responses, etc., so [...]

Nobody on r/keto, especially those that are pounding out recipes would be anything less than THRILLED to hear about new studies and more science. …but we’re not funding scientific research here, we’re experimenting with our own bodies. It’s kind of funny to think of this as cutting edge when it dates back so damn far…

  5. Hey Corinna, Corinna I couldn't agree with you more. Over here in Malaysia we get two kinds of watermelon, and they both have seeds. The red kind is truly red, just the way you remember it, and it is truly delicious. The other kind is quite a novelty: it is yellow. The first time I saw it I thought it was another kind of melon. But no! It is a true watermelon. although it is considerably smaller and almost perfectly round with a green, tiger-stripped appearance on the outside. If possible, it is even sweeter than the red kind. UmmUmm [...]

Rig counting: Hire three of your buddies as managers. Each manager hires a cousin and sends him out to count rigs. Rigs counted and reported to managers. Manager reports to general manager, general manager reports total rig count. Was that so complicated?

Venezuela has one less rig this month. The Scorpion Jack Up just arrived to Trinidad. One of the managers told me they left Venezuela being owed 100 million dollars. He said, and I quote, “we were just glad they didn't paint our rig red.” The market is just beginning to warm up. The oil business in Venezuela will [...]

  8. I ask not for the wise, for they don't seek power over others.

I ask not for the moral, for they don't get far enough in politics.

I ask not for the experienced, for they often let experience get in the way of the one thing I DO ask for-

    The ability to adapt.

So long as he or she can adapt to a changing situation, and knows how best to delegate, I don't care whether they like what I like, or whether they are more or less intelligent than I am.

I don't ask for much, yet few have [...]

I believe that this is real. There is something that is interested in us, and wants to learn more. Alien Abduction? I don't know… but I believe that it is, in part, a trend that caught on. One story of an abduction surfaces and others, either out of the need to be famous or an illness like you brought up (possibly cabin fever) copy them.
But I do believe there is some validity in that film. Maybe all 100 people were not abducted, but it's possible maybe 10-15 were evaluated by some other worldly beings.
