The MMS was a shambles under the gangster Cheney and his puppet Bush, it’s one of a number of huge problems that Obama inherited when he took office.
In case you hadn’t noticed, because it probably wasn’t mentioned on Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh, the entire US economy was in free fall in November 2008 and heading for the crapper. Bush himself had authorized the first bailout (did you remember that, too?) and the Obama Administration has been wrestling with this ever since.

Chris Oynes was the Head of MMS. He resigned days after the rig exploded. Mr. Oynes was a Oil company lobbyist in Washington always fighting for less regulation of off shore drilling. DICK CHENEY, let me say that again , DICK CHENEY appointed Chris Oynes to the MMS Mr. Oynes was the man in charge when these safeguards were overlooked in order to save the Oil companies money .
