Tһіѕ data аחԁ code release tһаt іѕ tһе subject οf illegal blocking οf FOIA’s (freedom οf information) іѕ one οf tһе keys іח tһе Climategate emails. Wе need tο know tһе list οf stations used аחԁ wе mυѕt һаνе copies οf tһе raw data tο properly assess іf a mega fraud һаѕ bееח perpetrated. Why yes, I’m glad you asked. It turned out to be more propaganda designed to thwart climate legislation around the world. It turns out the only place this type of propaganda has an effect is in the US, which also, coincidentally, happens to have the largest vehicles and houses and uses more oil than any other country on earth. It doesn’t take a PhD to determine that the acceptance of propaganda, which reinforces bad behavior, and the level of denial will be higher.

"The problem here is the IEA report does not support the claims made in the news story. I’ve reproduced the final graph from the report below. The red curve is the temperature trend using the 121 Russian stations that CRU has released data for, while the blue hockey stick is from a larger set of 476 stations. I’ve put them on top of the CRU temperatures for northern extratropics. The red and blue curves agree very well in the period after 1950, thus confirming the CRU temperatures.
The red and blue curves do diverge in the 19th century, but the one that provides more support for anthropogenic global warming is the blue hockey stick. The red curve shows warming in the 19th century before there were significant CO2 emissions, so it weakens the case that global warming is man-made. If CRU (not HAdley as claimed in the Russian news story) have "tampered" with the data, it would seem that they must have been trying to make a case against AGW."

There were no scientists involved. You are delusional to state the "Russian" accusation is believable when you do not even know who the "Russians" are. You were duped.
The accusation came from the IEA, which is one guy. He is not a scientist, he is an economist who lives in Washington DC and works for the Cato institute. He is a dishonest person with a political agenda. You really should be more careful of what you pick up as news. Notice that all the stories just referred to "Russians" and implied it was scientists, but did not even consider who was actually behind the press release. The real jounalists did not pick up the story because they recognized that it was a fake.

I have no problem with an economist having an opinion, but to present himself as an "instition" is a crock and to present himself as a scientist is immoral. For any website to run this story with no backgrond on the sources is at minimum irresponible, but even more shows that the site is not at all interested in reporting truth, merely in making stuff up. For any reader to read the story and not question it shows a great need for people to be more questioning, more educated, more thoughtful and to take that hook out of your lip.
And btw, any real climate scientist would know that it is the World Meteorological Organisation that chooses the sites to be used rather CRU or the Met Office.

It was BS to begin with. Nothing but a "copy-cat" to the CRU emails. It was a political tactic derived from a military tactic.
